the real yeah, yeah, yeahs

I grew up listening to the Beatles. I heard my mom and my aunts telling stories about Beatlemania in Brazil. I watched 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' time and time again after school - and always identified myself with the girl that keeps passing out when the boys perform for the first time on the Ed Sullivan Show. I memorized every phase, each album and the stories behind their recording sessions by watching the Beatles Anthology DVDs. At first I was in love with Paul, then with George. I always thought Ringo resembled my dad and, later, being a little older, I understood John's ideals and cried when I saw 'The U.S. vs. John Lennon' in the theaters.
I never thought I'd be able to watch one of their concerts - for obvious reasons - or a concert by one of them, at least. Since I moved to Boston, it became an obsession to find a Paul McCartney gig around here (yeah, Ringo's also around, but his performances aren't filled with Beatlemania anthems as much). But no success hunting Sir Paul so far.
Until Coachella released their lineup, that is. When I realized that it won't be a big deal if I don't survive to the first day of concerts in the desert of Indio, when McCartney headlines. After all, no other band plans on playing a setlist the looks like this one:

Drive My Car
Jet
All My Loving
Only Mama Knows
Flaming Pie
Got To Get You Into My Life
Let Me Roll ItC Moon
My Love
Let Em In
The Long And Winding Road
Dance Tonight
Blackbird
Calico Skies
Follow The Sun
Mrs Vanderbilt
Elenor Rigby
Something
Good Day Sunshine
Penny Lane
Band On The Run
Birthday
Back In The USSR
I Got A Feeling
Live And Let Die
Let It Be
Hey Jude
A Day In The Life/Give Peace A Chance
Lady Madonna
Get Back
I Saw Her Standing There
Yesterday
Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

I suppose the mini-Coachella-ambulances will be busy that night, but I plan on watching his show close to one of those, just in case.

Just a Day in the Life.

Is that why you married Nate because he looks just like Sir Paul?
